OTi-2118 USB 2.0 to ATA/ATAPI Bridge Controller

The OTi-2118 presents a cost-effective device which complies with Universal Serial Bus specification rev.2.0 and ATA / ATAPI-6 specification rev 1.0. With OTi’s SOC design expertise, OTi-2118 is a single-chip solution providing the bridge function between the USB bus and IDE bus. This controller can support various types of ATA/ATAPI devices, such as hard disk and compact flash device.

The OTi-2118 uses 12MHz crystal and slew-rate controlled pads to alleviate the EMI problem. By integrating PLL control circuit, RISC CPU, DMA controller, and USB interface controller, this device can certainly grant you optimal data throughput between the USB and IDE interfaces at a very low cost.

This controller can operate on Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows ME, and Mac OS without installing any driver. The OTi-2118 chip is available in 64/100-pin LQFP and 64/100-pin TQFP packages.
